Role Description
We are looking for an Automotive Technician to join our team at our Wood Dale & Addison, IL. locations. This is a full-time, on-site role. The Automotive Technician will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles, including vintage and custom vehicles. The Technician will also be responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting issues, as well as providing customer service.

- ASE certification is a plus

**Sign on bonus for qualified technicians must have three or more provable years of experience in related industry. The bonus will be paid in two parts – First $1,250 will b paid after completing six months of successful employment. Second payment of $1,250 will be paid after completing twelve months of successful employment. All payroll taxes will apply.
Shop Hand – Tech Assistant
About the position
This position could be Full or Part Time depending on the candidate.
- Assisting Technicians: Support technicians by performing various tasks such as retrieving tools, parts, and equipment, preparing work areas, and providing general assistance as needed. You may help with basic repairs, maintenance, and installations under the supervision of a qualified technician.
- Parts and Inventory Management: Help manage inventory by keeping track of parts, supplies, and equipment in the shop. This involves organizing and labeling parts, maintaining stock levels, and assisting with inventory audits. You may also be responsible for receiving and inspecting incoming shipments.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Assist other staff member with keeping the shop clean and organized. This includes sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning workbenches, tools, and equipment, and maintaining a tidy and safe work environment.
- Customer Service: You may sometimes interact with customers directing them to the appropriate staff members. You should be courteous, professional, and able to assist customers in a friendly manner.
- Vehicle Transport: You sometimes may be responsible for moving vehicles within the shop or to and from external locations, such as picking up or dropping off customer vehicles. You should have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record and be able to operate vehicles safely.
- Safety Compliance: As a shop hand, should adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. This includes wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), following proper handling procedures for hazardous materials, and identifying and reporting potential safety hazards.
- General Assistance: You may be required to provide general assistance and support to other staff members as needed. This could involve running errands, organizing paperwork, or helping with administrative tasks.

Parts Coordinator
About the position
The Parts Coordinator role is essential to our team’s success. Our Parts Coordinators are responsible for ordering, verifying, and distributing parts within our locations. We’re looking for individuals who can create strong relationships with our vendors to ensure timely delivery and distribution of ordered parts to our technicians and maintain accurate accounting records for the department. This position allows you to learn our business operations and further grow your career.
Job Responsibilities
- Accurately identify parts necessary to complete repairs in the shop
- Establish strong relationships and work with vendors to locate and order parts
- Receive and inspect parts for quality and accuracy
- Ensure timely distribution of received parts and materials to the technicians
- Using our parts management system, maintain accurate accounting records for purchased and returned parts.
- Keep parts area clean and organized for maximum efficiency
- Collaborate with other department managers and technicians throughout the day.
- Other duties as assigned
Position Qualifications
- One or more years of experience working within an automotive or motorcycle parts department
- Ability to identify and solve problems and create solutions
- Computer Skills that include the ability to navigate multiple computer programs at the same time
- Demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced working environment
- Must be able to lift heavy objects
- Knowledge of automotive systems and components
